I downloaded it some time ago, but never messed with it as I do all my work in Turbocad.

It is, I'm guessing, a bare-bones cad system.  free.

You beat Steve Helmick to the punch.  He must be preparing for tomorrow's contest.

Is anybody out there using the new Google Sketchup for stunt applications?

They have a neat add-on which allows you to draw a 3-D object, such as a fuel tank, then print a fold-out template (with "glue tabs").

I started using it, did part of the tutorial, and found nothing intimidating or difficult. Since then, when I needed to draw something, I've used Excel and "square" grids (my old way of drawing) to get quick results rather than try Sketchup. Laziness on my part, in short.  >:(

I think it would be a simple, effective system for components, explanations, diagrams, which is most of what I "sketch"
