A picture of this model was recently shown on Flying Lines.  I have never seen a full-fuselage Gee Bee modeled for C/L stunt, so this one is unusual.

Wingspan is 52" with an OS46 LA.  Construction is conventional balsa, with fiberglass wheel pants.  Brodak paints. 

Initial flights would indicate that a bit more power would help.  The model has quite a lot of parasitic drag.  I need to experiment with shorter lines, more nitro and different props to provide more authority in overheads.  While this may never be a great competition stunter, its scale appearance makes it unique.

This reminds me of a little Redhead that I dated that couldnt cook. I didnt care that she couldnt cook!

Dang good looking Plane. I've been researching racers and picking up books to do so. There is alot of interesting history around the Gee Bees.

Which model is this particular Gee Bee?

very cool looking plane tho - you have done a great job on it - now if it lacks power - put MORE in it HA

Not long ago, there was an "Extended Gee Bee" stunter flying.  Although it has some Gee Bee features, it is far from even semi-scale.  Here in the NW, Mark Scarborough has been flying a profile Gee Bee.  I would like to see other pictures, if available.

This is the Gee Bee Model D, powered by Menasco 125 HP.  Only one was produced in 1931, and it lasted until 1936, when it was destroyed by crash.  It had the famous "Gee Bee" paint scheme, scallops in blue on a cream background.  I chose the red/white colors which appeared on many other Gee Bee racers.

I was going to mention Jim Lee's plane, but, like you stated, it was a stretched Gee Bee.  I have plans in my stash some where in the shop for a scale Gee Bee.  The Bumble Bee one.  Anyway, yours looks great.  DOC Holliday

I LOVE it,, of course I am fond of Gee Bees,
I have drawn plans for a Y model built up, thats a radial version. My intent is for it to be *gasp* electric powered. However, seems I have a few others to finish first,,
I really like your plane, and I just dig the overall charisma affect,, look forward to seeing it fly soon!
