Nice design, but... potholes, texting teens and inattentive cell phone addicts will be it's demise.
Can't imagine the insurance either.

Ultra lights are very restricted in where and when they can fly. But. If you've got the mega bucks. I could understand someone's fascination. Supercars don't have much practicality for regular transportation either. Check the ground clearance and cockpit width as well as the lie down hard to see out driving position. No fun on the highway staring up at truck tires. Lot's of rural roads will bottom the suspension or whack the priceless pieces on the bottom. I parked my 75 Vette near one, one day. My car towered over the Lambo. The Vette is challenging enough to drive around. Low to ground, hard to see out front and back, and so forth. Supercars are a quantum worse.

There was a guy in FL that had a similar project a few years ago. It was one of those similar ground effect flying boat things.

There have been many of them. This guy took money from investors then never delivered. Typical?

There's still a guy with a ground effect flying boat thing up in the NY/NE area still attempting to raise money. And he does.

One of his gizmos crashed but the pilot was unhurt. I think he just got wet.

I spoke to him a few years back and asked why he doesn't just use seaplanes? His reply was that the FAA has too much red tape.

Not difficult to figure what he was up to.

I think they missed that mark by 750 Lbs.  A anorexic super model with 2 gal of fuel may be able to fly it under light sport though.  Depends on what they mean by "empty" weight
