I loved your story.  Very few people really understand our passion.  I will probably never be able to duplicate your journey but it was a real pleasure reading it.  One line I have to comment on because it drew a hearty "LOL" from me and woke up my dog!

"I’ve never had a plane that looked so good on the ground and in the air. Trying to
do maneuvers down to the 5-foot level was difficult, not for the plane, but for me. It felt
like I was flying someone else’s beautiful plane and I didn’t want to do anything stupid."

Sooo true - Ken

Dennis,
That is a fantastic article. Thank you for taking the time to write it up.
Your plane turned out great!  Finishing the model is truly a skill all on its own and the learning process is never really over.

WELL DONE!

Thank you
Doug

PS I wish I had a Garage Mahal.  ;D ;D

Thanks for another great adventure story.   You do a great job of writing.  The plane looks glorious and I would love to see it in person.   I envy you guys with patience to do these finishes.  Also you are so lucky to have friends willing to help you.  Thanks again. D>K H^^
