Has anyone noticed a difference in the Powermaster fuel that comes in the new cans marked VP Powermaster?

We have noticed that a batch of 10 22 is behaving more like 20 22.

Enough oil, but too much power and lower mileage. Old fuel ran 7 minutes, new fuel runs 5 minutes.

The  new fuel doesn't have a batch number, just a part number 6218   13212

Had some old 10 22, put it in the plane and everything was good again.

 This fuel is behaving like it has a lot more nitro than 10%. Next step may be to mix it with some 5% or some FAI fuel and see if it can be re blended into useable fuel.

Anyone else??

   It's behaving like fuel with more than 7% nitro, which it was before VP.

   David and I found the same thing, and he talked to the people at VP, we are now getting the full 10% and it runs about the same as SIG 10%. You might also note that the volume of the can is actually a full gallon instead of maybe 110 ounces, too.

Crap. Now I've got to reset all my needles and figure new the amounts to fill up.

Or just buy some 5% and mix with your 10% 50/50 and you'll have 7.5% and can leave your needle and amounts alone.

I've run Sig in my PA's and always have mixed that way. 5% in winter 7.5% most of the rest of the year and rarely 10% on the worst dog days of summer.

I noticed similiar with the new RO Jett blend.  I think regular 5/18 would be more than enough nitro for my PA or DS motors.  The new 10% had my PA surging like mad when I tried it.
