Just yesterday, 05-24-2014, I was at an RC Fly-In. They always have a lot of junk, some good items, mostly over-priced, yet now and then some nice CL stuff surfaces for the CLer or even RC models that can easily be converted for CL, especially Scale and Sport Scale flying.
Came upon a model of a George Aldrich design kitted by the REAL original
Top Flight well before Great Plains surfaced.
The box looked a bit old but far better than most. The wood and hardware, small bit, was in excellent condition. The design is nothing to rave about as it is very old, yet it would be an excellent sport flier, and hopefully it will be so not too long from now as I have some youngsters that may have a chance to fly it. WHAT is IT? It is the COMBAT FLITE STREAK, same wing -42"- and tail as a regular
Flite Streak yet it has a box fuselage with one wheel position, with upright engine. Of course any modeler could easily convert to RC sport or make a CL trainer with a wing-mounted landing gear, and something in the .19-.29 engine bracket.
Now guys, did this "..find.." cost an arm and a leg? NOT QUIET! Total price from this RC fellow >> TEN (10) Yankee Greens ($10) total. So if you need something to build and have fun, well check out these RC fellows that have no idea what a control-line controls.

I have about 15-20 of those kind of CL kit - finds. Good Luck! Heck I might even build one sometime in the future.
