Great day!!! Ready for Covering and Paint!!

Well I spend the afternoon with Angela and we made allot of progress, I'm SO thankful for CYA.  We have it ready to cover with a few minor things to do and I brought it home because the finish work will be done here. There's a shot of Angela and her Mom Robin and the middle sister Julia with Angela's airplane. J May and Hannah will be building Delta Darts very soon.

Denny, Angela was challenged on this one and She got a bit discouraged, especially with the tedium of the cap strips HaHa. She says she's disappointed now that its almost finished but I have a Tutor in the wings for her next project if she decides she wants to step up to that. The Legacy is coming along and its hard enough carving out time with Angela without trying to get her into that.

John, Angela is a sweet young lady needing positive attention. Her dad always promised but never came through. I've made it my goal to give her the worth she deserves. She's very able but in reality I think building anything would be enjoyable for her, mostly I think because she needs that positive attention, secondarily because she has an interest in simply knowing about the physical world. I have an electric motor kit that we will be building soon as well.

That is really cool!!  She has done a great job so far and the plane has turned out great.  I think the memories of the build and time will last quite a bit longer than the plane ever will... and that's a great thing!  I hope there are many more for you guys in the future!

Thanks Doug. She did a great job last summer on a half A Skyray. She is a natural pilot and soloed easily on the second flight and I then let her fly my big Skyray. Hoping she wants to go on and get more involved, but even if she stops here its been a great experience. By the way, she works very hard at building well, not the typical slap it together attitude I've encountered so many times.

Hi Phil, long time!!!! Thanks for the encouraging words. This experience is going to go beyond model airplanes I think (I hope) but I sure hope she elects to go on, she has expressed interest in learning the Beginner pattern!
