While Columbus, Ohio does not meet the weather criteria, it is a one hour drive to Dayton, 1.5 to Cincinatti, 2.5 hours to Cleveland, 2.5 to Lexington, Ky., 3 hours to Brodaks meet in Carmichaels Pa., 3 hours to Detroit, and 2.5 hours to Muncie. If you consider FCM, also flown at the Nats site, and you include the Columbus contest, that is nine meets close to home none of them was even a half days drive. I used to fly them all every summer for quite a few years!
