Magnum 40
« on: March 30, 2017, 12:38:58 AM »
Always wanted to build a Sig Magnum. Loved the lines and styling, but kits are rare and models that size still don't fit my nomadic lifestyle

So I kit-bashed a vector 40, a design that I had short but good success with in the past. I found a PDF copy of the Sig Magnum plans and instructions. These helped to make the necessary "retrograde" changes

Power will be a (aptly chosen) C.F. Slaterly Magnum 36. Motor was used on my previous Vector and has plenty of power. Finish will be the original prototype livery. I even got ahold of a set of kit decals that I will send out for a slight reduction in size.

Looks great Sean...A "Mini-Mag".

I always had a soft spot for the Magnum also.  Built two of them back in the 80's and 90's, one of which was finished like the original.  They flew as good as they looked.  Mikey has reason to be proud of his design!

Best of luck with it!
