I just wanted to pass this tip on to you guys if you did not know about it already.  Amazon.com is amazing with what they have available that is hobby related for us.  I bought my wife a KINDLE HD for Christmas and we started looking in to all the movies and books you could download and then I started looking for supplies and tools for building planes and I was shocked by what we can buy through Amazon.  NOW, here is the good deal they offer.  If you become an Amazon PRIME member, you can download as many movies and TV programs as you want as long as they are listed as PRIME.  But this is the REALLY REALLY good deal, ANYTHING that you buy that is listed as a PRIME item, will ship to you with NO SHIPPING CHARGES.  I just ordered a band saw and it is coming with NO shipping charges which saved me a fair amount of money.  Shipping charges are getting ridiculous because I shipped a lot of kits to you guys and every time I turned around shipping was getting higher.

It costs $79.00 a year to be a prime member but to me that is a good deal because of the free shipping and being able to download thousands of movies and TV shows free.  I think you can download one book a month free also.  We have gotten our moneys worth out of the $79.00 already and we joined in December.

Just wanted to pass this on to you all in case you were not aware of it.  The way  you can tell if it is a prime item, there will be a checkmark next to the word PRIME by the item.  Not all items qualify for prime but most of them do.  Just type in what you are looking for in the search box and it will come up with a picture.  I just bought some hinges from there recently because I did not want to drive two hours to a hobby shop and find them.

I have had a Prime membership for some time and have saved more than the cost on freight.  I don't download movies but I always check Amazon first for making on line purchases, of which I make far too many.

As a long time Prime fan I can fill you in on something else.  If you get Prime you can extend that membership to other family members such as kids or parents.  They won't get the movies (only the primary Prime member does) but they will get the free shipping ... and it is 2nd day

ALso, you can get overnight for $4 an item more.  That has saved me a ton before.  Do be careful when ordering though that you mark ship when items are available or if one item is back ordered the whole order will not ship till it is ready too.
