Thank you Ralph!  y1

While I was "gone", I found, and tried to log into, the PAMPA site.  Our School system's Server blocks it as a "message board"!  Cannot even get into it through a "proxy server" such as Google. ??????

Steven Yamplowski is a member here and is the PAMPA site webmaster.  He should DEFINITELY be able to get you on there!  (??)

Well, I was "unsuccessful" all day yesterday in trying to log on to the AMA site..........

Been waiting, since 10:00am yesterday, for an answer to email that I sent to four different staff members of the AMA to see what the problem is.  ~^

Gents,

About a month ago, AMA started rebuilding their site. I had a bit of trouble getting back in, and the welcome page looked a lot different.

What worked was using a variant of my username and requesting a new password. In effect, I guess, that overrode the old account info tied to my AMA #. Still have to log in with the variant of username, and new password.

It is worth a bit of frustration to get through the gate- the internal navigation seems  better than the old site.

Hi Lou,

When I went there yesterday, it asked for my AMA # only.  I tried that along with my password.  No luck, I then tried using any possible combination of my "name" and password.  Still no luck.

Then I tried to "request a new password".  No luck there with either my AMA # or any combination of my name.

So I wrote to 4 different members of the staff.  Still no word back! ?? ?? ???

As for me after seeing all the posts again.  It is the PAMPA site I can't get a response to.  The AMA site is okay with my new stuff entered.  Maybe our PAMPA tech will see this as no response from him either.  Have fun, DOC Holliday

I was having trouble getting onto AMA's website a while back; surprising since I had no problems earlier.  I turned out that there is a fix for windows required which changes the effective date when Daylight Savings time starts.  Since putting in the patch, I've had no problems.  It is worth the effort as you'll be able to search old MAs, access AMAs HUGE plans inventory, read biographies, and such.

I'm a *little* disapppointed.  Over 24 hours and no word from any of the 4 I emailed at AMA HQ..  Maybe *my* email isn't going out from here at work??

The AMA web site is the WORST site I have ever seen.  I used to check in frequently but now they have changed it.  To log in to see the "Members Only" section you have to "Link your membership to an "ACCOUNT"!!   That is the dumbest thing I have heard.

I have sent two Emails to the Director about this and have received NO replies.

Wish there was an other way to get the insurance so that I could still fly and NOT belong to AMA.

Sparky may delete this post but I don't care, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Well,   I *FINALLY* got everything working here.  I finally got into my "junk mail" folder and there was the AMA replies!  So I can now get into the AMA site........

Clancy,  The AMA "account" is exactly like your "account" here. (???)

Yeah, Bill,

I usually clean down my SPAM (Junk Mail) folder every time I check mail, so none of it stays there waiting to do its dirt. And, any mistaken SPAM calls can be caught soonest.

I've had other good 'senders' dropped into SPAM, but my security suite makes it easy to fix that, case by case.

Welcome!
