Title: AMA President winner
Post by: Mike Keville on November 16, 2016, 07:45:07 PM
Looks like Lawrence Tougas (who was disappointed with the AMA's direction) lost.  Rich Hanson won.  Looks like we're headed for the "same old-same old":  drones-drones-and-more-drones.

<sigh>

Some are poor losers no matter which side you are in.  I forgot to vote so I can't say yea or nay.

This election didn't go my way. So is it okay to protest, riot, burn buildings, get petitions going, block traffic, call the winner a racist, physically assault those that support the winner, and post a selfie vid of me bawling about loosing now?

Isn't that how it's done these days?

I have to agree with Bob here.  I know Rich Hansen and He's a good guy that will make decisions in the best interest of all AMA Members.

I think we should give him a chance.

The notice that AMA sent out announcing the results said he was ex-VP from District XI. I'm pretty sure that should have been District X.

I agree with Mr. Hunt, let’s give the man a chance. I read nothing in his statement that would suggest he had some sort of character flaw. I personally have seen nothing on television or in the media that would indicate Mr. Hansen is in any way a bigot, a raciest, a misogynist, tax dodger, business cheat, liar, or bully. It seems that he may actually have some experience for the job, and was elected by the majority of those who voted.
I know that feelings can run deep, but we are talking about model aviation aren’t we?
Imagine if this were something truly important. “Give the man a chance” seems to be on many peoples’ lips these days. Good idea? You can always vote him out if you don’t like his leadership. two cents worth.

Bill,
I'm "pretty Sure" You're absolutely right!  Met him in Phoenix and Tucson several times!

I'm beginning to think the AMA has a little trouble getting anything right.  Maybe he can change that!

As long as he grabs my airplane by the handle and not the pussy he's all right by me!
