"This my Strega ARC prototype that I wrote about in CLW. The wing and tail are covered in $kote, and then the rest is finished in basecoat/clearcoat. the whole plane is clear coated."
Brad,
That truly is incredible.
I'm very very interested in the clear coating process you used.
In the early 90's (1992-93) I covered a stunter entirely with monokote (actually had done 6-7 that way), and clear coated it with Dupont (something) and it caused the monokote to sag over the open bays and wrinkle up over the wood structure. It then refused to shrink with heat. Terriffic MESS.
Can you tell me where to get this clear coat you're using and any special application instructions that might apply.
Thanks,
Randy C.
