Title: AMA Nats dates for 2025
Post by: Paul Smith on December 24, 2024, 12:45:21 PM
I checked out the AMA web site schedule  for 2025 and found something of a flip flop vis a vis past practice.

July 6-10: Control Line
July 13-15:  Scale
July 11-12: gap, bring golf clubs.

For the few guys who came for scale & stayed for CL, this is a new deal.  I did not say "bad", just new.

The link opens to the current month, scroll to July 2025.

Paul,
I believe PA will be flown through the 11th (Friday) at least.  One less day of golf for the Top 5...

The IAC schedule says “2 more” for July 11 and “1 more” for July 12. Those include CL scale events. So the real schedule is full but the AMA calendar doesn’t really show that very well.

The key element is that the 70.3 mile Ironman is scheduled for July 12, 2025.  The entry fee is $399.01.

Hopefully our event directors won't run anything in conflict with that.

Maybe AMA will clarify what the 1 or 2 more means when the ED's submit their plans.

This happens every few years.   The only issue is hotel rooms.   Get them at first chance or you might have to drive to Indy to sleep!   We chose AirB&B this time.   I HAVE had it happen where the hotel (Baymont) LOST my reservation for the big $ weekend........I didn't have any trouble finding it on my phone-didn't matter.
