Title: AMA membership
Post by: john e. holliday on December 04, 2024, 07:57:22 PM
Well I did it.  I have made my annual contribution to the AMA for membership renewal.   Yes, I went for the digital  Model Aviation.   That and Stunt Hanger is about the only way I have of keeping up with model planes.  It took less than 5 minutes if that long. D>K

Did the same, John, renewed for 3 because of a slight volume discount for 3 years versus 1 or 2. Opted for the digital copy. Then I don't have mags to stash or throw away. Plus, if there is a favorite article, I can print out just those pages and save them.

I just mailed in my 1 year renewal.  Had to use USPS because their on-line procedure was too convoluted and irritating.

I must be an optimist..renewing for something I might not use.  I only venture to the flying field in warm weather.  In Oregon, that happens rarely... a few days in mid-summer/

Besides, being 91 and unsure of my stability spinning around, my AMA insurance might not be necessary.

Yep, i just renewed my AMA myself. Around here it is a requirement in order to belong to a model club. No AMA, no membership at that club. Also, the clubs that i dont belong to require it to fly there at an event or as a guest. That lifetime membership offer 50 plus years ago that i couldnt afford back then looks pretty good every time my membership dues come up!.....Gene
