AMA Fellow Warren Walker's Man-Cave Dinner
« on: July 14, 2017, 12:31:57 PM »
Lots of Tri-Tip and chicken, baked beans and home-made slaw, beet greens and roasted beets, brownies and ice cream.

Newbie Marcos worked on his Lil Zilch surveying the damage from the last aborted flight, and his Viking bending tubing into convoluted shapes as uniflow and overflow extensions for the cramped engine bay, and soldering on brass ferrules to help them mount to the engine bay side and bottom.

Larry Renger got some more work done on his Black Hawk Models Walt Musciano P-51 hollow log project.  Then Larry applied a coat of clear Klass Kote to the fuselage of a Baby Clown that looks as though it will be powered by electrons.

Pics below?  Maybe...

Warren isn't just a Fellow, he is a great fellow! The dinner was fantastic as usual. The Beet Greens recipe was one my wife, Jeannette, found on the web. It was fantastic! I am sure it would be just as good done with spinach.

The Clown is being covered with parkflyer type film. Power is a hopped up Medallion .049. Modifications are a Galbreath needle valve, Merlin Plug and head and Swirl-ported Tee Dee piston and cylinder.

The Clown is being converted to a Baby Super Clown by adding functioning flaps.

The Mustang is extensively modified from the kit. Wing span and chord significantly reduced, the fuselage trimmed to as slim as it can go. Elevator on one (outer) half of the horizontal tail, internal bellcrank system, slimmer, non-scale canopy. Power will be one of my Venom engines, a proven winner from last year.

Thanks, Paul, for your faithful coverage of these events!
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!
