am i doing damage to the aerodynamics?

I'm scratch building a patternmaster and i cut the fuse sides 1 inch longer then the plans.Can somebody tell me what i should do with the tail? Should i keep the distance between the trailing edge of the wing and the leading edge of the stab the same or move the stab back 1 inch also ?
Is moving the tail causing any damage to the aerodynamics or will it still fly the same?

IF you move the stab back, it won't fly the same. May be better, may be worse, but not the same. sort of depends on the aerodynamics of the rest of the plane. If I were you, I'd build it according to plan. You know if flies well like that.

What Randy said. Unless you're looking to redesign the aircraft, stay with the proven numbers. Moving the stab back is going to change the CG.

It will also change the response rate and the way the plane turns along with the effectiveness of the tail.

It doesn't matter much if the fuse is 1 in. longer to the rear, but as it has been said already, the relationship between the hinge line of the wing and the hinge line of the stab should remain the same as the plans. Oh, and by the way you should be measuring hinge line to hinge line. The PM is not only a proven design but a winning design and any changes would be hard pressed to improve on it. IMHO
