Almost perfect stunt weather today....
« on: February 17, 2012, 04:06:30 PM »
We got a break in the crappy weather today. Warmed up to upper 50's with lite wind.

Only problem was I had to tend with the sun and the field was soggy.

Got two patterns in. #^

Tomorrow is more rain. D>K

Not sure why... but seems like every time I take a picture of it, it comes out blue. It is really purple.

One of those things that make you say hmmmmmm.

At least you get to fly. I was planning on flying two days this week. Then the work rolled in. 1-busted steam powered compressor, 1-broke down stamping press that is 4 stories tall and 1-22' long pump for a steel mill. This started monday and will end sunday 7 days later.  Maybe next week will be better for flying. HB~>

I had a look at your photo - the colour information IS there.. I can see it clearly a deep purple.

It took 3 attempts at uploading, but I finally got it to display your purple.. really weird.

John : Unfortunatley no.. simply adjusting the hue is only going to acheive a degredation of the entire image. Everything else is fine, the problem is how the image being taken is being transcoded.

The data initally is there in the original photo - Its simple to just slightly filter the CYMK colour level.

Thats why when I did it, the grass has remained the same - not looking like a faded purple photo.

Paul, problem is I own the place and the customers do not care if I fly or not. They only care that the plants keep running. I missed most of the contest last year because we were so busy.

Hey Curtis,
I knew you were the boss.... LL~

Being busy in this economy is a good thing. We missed you at the MSC last year.
I hope things don't slow down for you, but I do hope to see you around this summer. ;D

No slow down so far. We have picked up 2 new customers this winter. But it would be nice to find some younger guys that want to do real machine work. Most just want to run CNC's. I have 1 young man that is 21 yrs old and making $19.00 hr after 2 yrs. Top for a good machinist is $28.00+ and going up fast, no college required. In Birmingham we need at least 35 machinist right now.
