Look Like a conventional saftey razor blade , but thicker ( Std Ones curl in 10 seconds ?. Or Did . )
WHERE can one get supplies , Please . Particularly in Australia . :( >:(

I have one similair made by Wil-Kro. I think I bought it in the late 1960's. It's a real handy tool. Mine uses any double edged blade yours probably will too.

Yes they will use any double edge blade. Just have to reverse blade or change more often. That is why I save my blades when I replace the one in the razor I use. I'm on my third double edge razor. D>K

What you need are carbon steel double edge blades, not stainless. The stainless blades are softer and not suitable for our use. Carbon steel blades are usually black or blue. Google "carbon steel double edge razor blades" and you will find sources. The two planes in your post, the Little Giant and the Zip have a center locating rib in the blade bed. The rib may not allow you to retract some brands of blades for a fine cut, so try to buy a few to test before you buy a pack of 100.

Absolutely want those for planes that use double-edge, trimming tissue, etc. They are *worthless* to actually shave with, compared to the alternatives. Unless you like blood, of course.

Hummm, I remember shaving with them. Another time of course but that was when men were men and a nick every now and then was part of the ritual.

Me, too, that's why I don't recommend it! With modern razors, you can more-or-less shave with reckless abandon, never really have a chance of a cut. The blades are much more expensive but they also last for months, and you wanted to change your blue double-edge blades every other day. The stainless double-edges are better for shaving, at least they don't rust overnight.
