Looks like on-n-off rain predicted for the next few days. Hope they get a break tomorrow morning--and don't dawdle.

Been to two VSC's, and from my observation, they don't dawdle at all. Flying was always over by early afternoon, maybe noon. Always somebody running the pits and cracking the whip! Pretty awesome, IMO. But then it's nap time and getting ready for the evening's festivities, both of which are taken very seriously! Finding time to post pictures would be pretty difficult and would take a lot of dedication.  y1 Steve

The weather was pretty good for OTS.  The winner was Joe Gilbert with a funny little profile called a Ringmaster.  Jim Hoffman was second and Bart Klapinski third.

Was there for part Thursday morning.  Light  winds, light rain on and off.  Only got a few pics.  Overall pic was just after rain delay was called - why it looks bare in the pits.

Some really sporty weather for the later rounds of Classic.  Most of the scratches and low scores were the results of some nasty weather moving through.  It got unflyable Thursday and Friday afternoon, at least it you were trying to improve your score.  A few crashes an some contracted sphincters.

Thanks for the update Mike, it all still sounds better than a day at work. I don't see Randy Powell's name on the list, he must have grounded the new Thunderchief because of the weather?

At least there is some flying.  I remember when I didn't get to put up a flight one year.  Congrats to those that did fly. D>K

WHERE on FB? PAMPA, CL Flying or ACFC?

I'm not a fan of FB, and if it wasn't for ACFC and Vintage FAI FF pages, I wouldn't bother with it. Recently, somebody hacked my profile on FB and sent out a bunch of "friend requests" to people who I was already "friends" with. A change of password is the apparent cure...same as if your email address is hacked. I can't see why anybody would waste their time with this hacking, but to @#$% me off! Hunting them down and having Guido pay them a visit would make a lot of sense. Probably one of the "Bernie's Buddies", tho.   ;) Steve
