Well it just proves the old saying- no good deed goes un-punished. I worked almost non-stop my last trip to Portland, so much i hardly flew at all.
I only made it to the field a couple times to try and shake down the latest " Sacrifical Lamb" to the beginner pattern ( thanks again Richard!). Managed to get it running pretty good and got through the sequence a couple times with the plane intact-progress!!
So I had a plane that seemed ready, 2 gallons of fuel, and a reservation to come back that included the weekend of the Fall Follies- life was looking up -right? NOT!
Boss decided I needed a break, changed the schedule- and gave me a free round trip to Albuqurque NM instead of Portland. Looks like the Beginner Judges are safe from the possibility of having my smoking wreckage land in their lap at the contest- is that cool with you Scott???
Hope to see all my friends up there soon - now I have to figure out how to get my clothes and tools I left in Hillsboro to N.M.- Maybe if I have them put in a big enough box the twister can ride along too!
