I certainly wasn't quibbling about the quality of the FA40a or its running characteristics - I have 3 of 'em! But you may have just explained what was wrong with my #2 Cardinal. I shortened the nose of the ARC to accomodate the added weight (as compared to a B.40) and it was practically a Free-Flight plane. I added a 2 oz. Higley Hub, and the improvement was significant. Now I think I should try another, leaving the nose stock length, but add a tail-weight box "just in case". I must have missed the discussion about "nose-heavy but still turns"; thanks for the info.
