Progress slower then I'd like but it's coming along. My modified Legacy in the works, here it is with all its vital bits.

Just keep plugging away.  You will probably be airborne before I get mine done.

Well this is my new for next season airplane, I have to get it done but I still have a motorcycle to get painted too along with helping Angela build her Lightning Streak!

Priorities, Randy, priorities:

1.   Angela
2.   Airplane (yours)
3.   Motorcycle

Angela's enthusiasm is a precious and fragile thing, and you have been doing a great thing by encouraging and inspiring her.  Way to go!

As usual, Randy, what you have finished shows some real nice workmanship!

What's going to power it?

BIG Bear

Randy, did you see my post on your first Legacy photos regarding the MVVS 49?

Hi Bill, yes I did. I bought this new from Just engines after I read a review by Peter Shinn if I remember right. It's only vice is its weight, it's pretty hefty. But its supposed to have high power output and very nice handling and running characteristics. I bought it just because I read about it and at the time the price was very reasonable at about $65 if I remember right. It's been calling my name ever since so its gets its chance in the Legacy. If that's a wash, I'll buy my first Randy engine.

After reading that write up it is hard to visualize this engine being a disappointment but you never know. The version that I have is the green head model which was the same one from the report. I haven't done a thing with it other than look at it. One of these days.......

Thanks John, I appreciate that. I have changed the tip and rudder shapes tho and will be using a larger canopy. I never found the Legacy especially attractive expect in its flying quality. During judging I've notice how smooth they are regardless of ARF, ARC Kit or scratch and even quality of build within reason. At least in my eyes I see a quality there that I haven't seen in most other designs.

Hi Randy.

Two things I am pretty sure about.  One: However you decide to finish it, it will looks very good! and Two: It should be a great flying model!

Good Luck!

Thanks Brother Bill, I am always impressed by Legacys when I watch them, so the flying quality I expect to be excellent.
