The PT 19 belongs to Ken and Shawn Cook. Shawn is one heck of a pilot.

I was a little tired when I got to the room so will explain a few of the photos.

First photo is the rain and if you look real close in the back ground you will see the combat guys never give up. It was raining hard!

Second Photo. Then it let up and the sun came out.

Paul, I was wiped out myself. I had a great time and getting to place a face with a name is always good. After the downpour, we packed it up and headed back. The rain made the mud situation pretty bad and trying to get all the stuff back into the car was quite a chore. Shawn slept for 3 hours on the ride  home but all went well. I have to thank you for posting a picture of our Pt-19 on here. I haven't quite graduated to posting pictures yet and its quite a thrill to see it. That particular plane was built from Dave Hemstrought design in Flying Models. I hope I spelled his mane correctly. A fellow there is a personal friend of Dave and took a few shots himself. Shawn was holding first place in intermediate for a while. It was unfortunate that the winds wouldn't allow for a good flight the following day. I had to wave off my flight as well. I thought the 4 up Bi-Slob flight was terrific. I think what made it so good was it was unrehearsed and everything went as planned. I thought it was great how each plane peeled off inverted one by one. Ryan was quick to jump in there and flew great. I always wonder whats going to happen when you get several planes in the circle. It surely gave Dan Banjock a workout. Ken and Shawn Cook

I noticed an interloper in the Okie Sooners pic.  Of course I don't think they would throw Larry if he happened to move to Tulsa.  I am surprised that you caught Elwyn napping, but, I guess he has to run down sometime.  Maybe next year,  DOC Holliday

Hi Paul. I would amend the title on the Big Art to Big and lesser Arts. The other Art in the pic is MOBA or as I call him my Much Older Brother Arch...... I would also add my thanks for the great pics.

Thanks Dave,
I did talk with Dennis and Arch, but failed to get his name. I thought that was him but not 100% sure. Did not want to get the name wrong. I am bad enough with names, but I never forget a face.

Good morning Doc,

In your post #5 you refer to the "interloper" in the picture of the Glue Dobbers.  This particular photo was taken at the awards ceremony.  De Hill, whom you know well, was to be awarded the perpetual life time achievement award at Brodak's.  Due to a malfunction of his medical equipment De had to leave the contest several days early and Allen asked the Glue Dobbers to come forward and accept this award for De.  Larry was made an instant member of the Glue Dobbers and invited to be a part of this presentation.

De is fine and in good health.  This was a medical "Equipment" problem that required him to return to Oklahoma not a health problem.

Later, John

Thanks John,  couldn't find a better gentleman to add to the Gluedobber roster.  If De would have had personal health problems I imagine it would have been all over the forum.  Thanks again,  DOC Holliday
