The question for anyone who may have powered an ARF Nobler with a Fox .35 and used the Aldrich design pinched corner tank provided in the kit. Does it hold adequate fuel for the entire pattern? I know it did when George used it, but does it still do it today? Not sure if the tanks are exactly the same size as Georges.
Thanks,

Bummer, I'd like to run a 4 1/2 oz. in my ARF Nobler but it just won't fit. It needs to be about 1 3/4 wide. :'(

Yes, I've got an Aldrich piched type tank (uniflow) in my ARF Nobler with a Fox 35 Stunt. I set the motor on 3/32 alum pads and was able to make the tank 1 3/16" thick and still center the NVA... 1 3/4 wide to fit the inside of the fuselage and as long as I could get it and still stuff it in there. It turned out about 4 1/4 oz approx... Will run a stock or semi stock Fox fine.... Problem is the Silver Foxx 35, which I would prefer to run is not a very fuel efficient motor! Power comes at a price.... But that tank runs out to the end VERY nicely.
Thanks

Well, I was afraid the supplied tank looked a little small. I'll check the Brodak tank and look into building one as well. the .35 I'm planning to use on it has a .36 piston, sleeve and head. It may be a little more thirsty in a 4-2-4 than the tank can bear.
I had built a couple of the Aldrich tanks in years past and seems as though I remember it held about 3-1/2 ounces.
Thank Guys,
Herman

Tom Morris sells a pre-plumbed uniflow clunk tank that fits into the ARF Nobler and holds a little over 4 oz.

I ordered a couple of the 1-3/4" wide 4-1/2 oz. tanks from Brodak. When I get time, I'll try one of them.
