Thinking of sitting here and waiting for all the goblins, monsters and princesses I decided I would start reading the CD. First pages are a history of his envolvement into stunt. I have got up to the building Snaggletooth part 2. Amazing what this man has done with his journey into the stunt wars and his contributions. A lot of stuff way ahead of time. I am proud to say I have met the man and have had way too short of talks with him. May he continue on for many more years. You may have to go to Stuka Stunt to get details on getting a copy of the CD. H^^

Hi Doc,
The computer I am on (house computer) cannot even find a file to open! :o I got a good lap top from Randy Smith (for use during the 5 hours I sit for chemo) and it opened the flying sequences then nothing.
What do you open it with? Is there a "file name" anywhere that I can do a "run" or search for?
I would LOVE to be able to use it next Wednesday during my chemo. ;D
Thanks!

Hi Bill, The text and photos are in two PDF files (Disc 1 and disc 2). That needs Adobe reader to open them. I believe it is a free download, but you might need to ask where you get it - it just works on my computer so the issue of finding it has never arisen.

I just load the disc and a menu comes up. I click on the file name and it comes up. It will not work on my lap top either, so I use the main computor in the house. Nobody was home except the dogs and myself. The dogs would alert me when the creatures were coming up on the porch. H^^
PS:Basically the CD is a compialation of the stuff Al posted on Stuka Stunt and is what I was trying to do a couple of years ago. I don't think you will find his history on SS tho.jeh

The CD is wonderful. More cool ideas than you can shake a stick at.

Thanks, Charlie. I have supposedly the newest Adobe set up so I am just mystified as to why I cannot find the files.......... I put it in my lap top (newer operating system) and Windows Media player opened the film scenes of the flying. Then it just went blank. Wish I could get to see everything! LOL!! I have the combined 1&2 on one disc.
Thanks, guys

If it just went blank on the laptop maybe the screen size does not match the player requirments for the video ?

Everything is FINE now! I talked with Mr. Rabe and my lap top works and runs the programs fine.
Thanks for all the help and thank you, Al!

Hi, Hangaretts
I just saw where Bill was missing his chemo entertainment and immediately sent another disk which should get there Monday or Tuesday before his chemo Wednesday.
Fortunately, I was able to get his phone number from Randy and was able to help Bill sort out the files on his present Al's models 3 DVD disk. Bill has now found and tried all of the files.
Thinking that others might also have some of the same issues, I decided to offfer some help for the computer challenged like me.
Step one is to insert the disk.
Click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the PC computer screen.
Click on "computer" or "my computer".
When you see a disk icon over one of the drives, click on that drive to Open "Al's Models 3".
Click on "Al's Models 3" which should then display 5 files from the disk. These files are in this order:
AVI. This is an Adobe format for DVD video. This will bring up five additional files. They are:
Bearcat - flight
Critical Mass - flight
Critical Mass - In the shop
Critical Mass - Preflight
Snaggletooth - Flight
Each of these videos are about 10 minutes long.
MPEG is another video format which shows the same five flight files and might work better than Adobe on some computers..
Al's Models Disk 1 PDF is a text file on the 78,000 words and 595 photos content of disk 1.
Al's Models disk 2 PDF is a text file on the 74,749 words and 650 photos content of disk 2.
readme is just an explanation of the reasons and uses of the two video formats. Nothing else. You shouldn't need it.
The Al's Models DVD disk 3 normally sells for $29.95 which is something of a discount for the two $19.95 each included disk's content. Until Christmas, I'm offering an additional sale of Al's Models 3 for $19.95 including shipping.
Also, the Adobe reader doesn't appear to be necessary. My laptop plays all of the disk files just fine without the Adobe reader. I have no idea how MAC users have been playing this disk, but then, there have been no complaints. I suspect they don't need it either. Adobe PDF format was used for the text files because they work better than Microsoft Word Documents on my computers.
