This makes me think of an email I got about the stick ons for medication. Nurse came in to ask him what was the matter. He was putting a patch on every couple of hours as stated. Nothing about removing the old patch. Was told he was almost covered with the patches. But, there is very little common sense out there in this world now. Like this morning, foggy as all get out. Could not see co-worker on far corner. People still driving with no lights on their vehicles.

IQ isn't the issue. It's coddling people and treating everyone from cradle to grave as helpless invalids incapable of fending for themselves without "expert" help, from whereever it comes. It permeates society and will be our downfall.

How about paper coffee cups with a warning that the coffee is hot? I think that was a result of the infamous lawsuit against McDonald's when the lady burned herself.

Years back, I owned a manufacturing company and I always laughed when a bundle of 12 ft long steel bars came in with a label..."Warning, Do Not Eat." I guess common sense isn't too common anymore.

Have you paid attention to the T.V. ads for pills and other "medicines"? The long list of side effects, including death, makes me wonder why anyone would want to "ask their doctor" about these medicines!

I only take vitamin D. So far, there are no side effects.

Yes, Floyd, but you probably take your vitamins with water. Research side effects and ingredients of drinking water and you might be surprised. They say that if the FDA regulated water, it would carry a lengthy warning label.

Its all about law suits and money. Somewhere along the way someone figured out if they tried something they were not supposed to try but nobody told them not to try it they could sue for money and WIN! Yikes! Like the guy who trimmed his hedges with his lawn mower. Eventually he cut his hand in there and lost a few fingers maybe even his whole hand. He sued for millions because the lawn mower manufacturer didnt tell him he couldnt do this or have a warning sign on the mower. As soon as the first judge to award this stupid behavior with money everyone started seeing what they could get and now you have warning signs like "Do not eat" wrapped around rebar....Really....idiots...or someone will get paid.

Too bad the first judges didnt tell the attorney to "Get the HECK out of here and dont bring this SH-T back in here again, and tell your cleint he is a dumb a-- too!"

But look at Johnny Knoxville, he actually did it. The Jackass crew took what seemed to be a impossible cartoon act, and turned it into a reality. When the rocket initially launched with him on it something exploded out of the side. Someone needed to remind him . His second attempt actually worked putting him 100' in the air. Ken

Several years ago I worked at a Government Facility and theEPA complained that our Effluent was exceeding their regulations of 7.0 PH.

I went to the plant library and pulled the Military Specification for Distilled Water, Allowed 7.0 +/- 0.5 PH.

You should have heard the sputtering when I showed them that, per their Regulations, 1/2 of the Distilled Water the Military buys could not be poured down the drain!

Lawyers writing regulations that Engineers have to follow!

What I find more ammusing is : For every warning lable there is, somewhere - Natural selection flourising.
We dont need warning lables slowing down that process.

I read with interest on my lawnmower : "Do not replace blades whilst mower is running"

If your not intelligent enough to understand why - then let natural selection take its course.

This is one of the dumbest I've ever seen - however its good advice

There's a great George Carlin bit about children and the lives of children on Youtube. He is my favorite comedian simply because he tells it like it is and makes fun of all things in the world that you can't help but laugh at.

My wife knew him in Chicago, when they were young performers. She was always highly complimentary of him, and we both love his humor. One of my musical friends said, and I agree, "The country's collective IQ went down a couple points when he died." He had his problems, but he left this a better place because of his presence, something not all can claim.

I too thought Carlin was one of the greats. But, then I tried to watch one of his later performances. I had to turn it off because of the foul language and it wasn't as funny. He knew how to be funny in the early days without the foul language.

It seemed to me as Carlin got older, his routines became darker and with it came the profanity. And on the warning label thing, sometimes the gene pool just needs to be emptied.

Another funny comedian was Buddy Hackett, some profanity in this video.

Heres one from a bicycle Rider-ME I wanted to get out of traffic so I rode on the sidewalk and ran into a ladder and the guy on the lader was up about 30 feet. I went to the hospital so they could give me about 10 stiches so my ear wouldn't fall off. I used to wrestle in high scool and it took me another 60 years to get a cauliflour ear. Isn't it logical to stay out of traffic?
