Adventure about to begin...
« on: June 19, 2014, 11:15:40 PM »
Hi everyone.

We are just about ready to leave in a few days, practice locally has been limited due to a number of factors, 30 + winds have been common as we are knee deep in Winter.

Model is in the box ready to be put on the plane, and our chariot awaits upon arrival in San Fransisco shortly.

Hopefully the weather will be more favorable both in terms of temperature and wind speeds for some practice prior to leaving for Muncie.

The Honeymoon plan is for Rhiannon and I to spend some time in Las Vegas over the 4th of July weekend, then meander down the highway stopping periodically to see the sights.

Lots of things planned - limited time frame.

Once we arrive in Muncie - we will experience all that the Nats has to offer. She has been to our Nationals and enjoyed the experience - so hopefully the show will be great to watch all the Top guns shoot it out for the National Title, and to be a part of that contest is always memorable.

After that its over to Dayton, OH for the Airforce museum ,then over to DC for a few days, into NYC for a few days. As part of the trip we are seeing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and a bike ride in Central park.

Eventually flying out after a Baseball game at Yankee stadium.

We both look forward to seeing all my flying friends again - If you see us about say G'day and introduce yourselves ..

I wont be hard to miss........  S?P

Have a safe trip and have a great time! You are stopping in to visit Dave correct? If so, I am sure that you will get plenty of flying in before you leave for Muncie. I look forward to seeing you again my friend and also meeting your new beautiful wife. I wish Melissa were able to come this year but her work and a new baby made it impossible this time. We have discussed her flying up to watch the finals.

Take care,
Derek

PJ, hope you and the misses have a great time seeing this great land of ours.  If you happen to travel through Kansas City KANSAS/MISSOURI,  wave as you go through.  Watch out for the detour signs also.  You will find out this land is bigger than you thought.
