The originals were wood - 3/8 ply if I remember.

Why are you interested in replacing the red, plastic stations on the Adjusto-Jig?
I sold mine many years ago, but while I had it, it worked very well for me. As I remember, the red plastic stations worked well, were stable, and moved on the main mounting rod with just the right amount of resistance to make them remain in place.
One caveat, is that mounted to a substantial base, it was large and heavy, and required a lot of space for storage.
The major weak design point of the AJ, is that the rods were small in diameter (1/8" to 5/32" ?) and the rod spacing was too close together, somewhere around 2-2 1/2"....the wider the rod spacing, the more accurate the perimeter of the wing becomes.
But with those limitations, it still was a pleasure to use, because the assembly would rotate 360 degrees, and you could complete 95% of the wing before it was removed from the jig. The value and convenience of keeping the wing in the jig for 95% of the construction, was worthwhile enough to overlook the jigs short comings. It was adjustable for dihedral, so a dihedral-ed wing could be built all in one piece, still with the terrific ability to rotate, top to bottom.
If you have one, use it and enjoy it.

Hi Warren, I agree very much that the jig works excellent I am presently building a Randy Smith Tempest II from one of his laser cut kits. I just figured with all the people on here with access to laser-water jet -plasma cutters it would be nice to have an extra set available and judging by the number of views should be enough interest to make it worth while maybe.

The great grandson of Lowell Evans, the designer and patent holder of the A-Justo-Jig posted on RCGroups at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1246920
that he had some pieces and was going to try to recreate and sell the Adjusto Jiig. That was about 7 months ago now. Very little more has been posted from the great grandson but there are several that are very interested and anxious for another Adjusto Jig but the silence is deafening.
I, too would like to find an Adjusto Jig and have been looking and watching for a while now.
