how can i install/adjust a adjustable lead out and what are the advantages to having them

Your title says weight box, the text says leadouts. Since the leadout question is answered here (https://stunthanger.com/smf/open-forum/adjustable-lead-out-guides/msg507457/#new), I'll answer the weight box question.
A weight box is just a box on the outboard wingtip, roughly on the fore-and-aft location of the CG, into which you can put heavy stuff. You need to accommodate about one ounce of stuff, and you want to make sure it won't rattle. Beyond that, anything goes.
Most people just use a little box about 1 inch on a side, with a single 4-40 machine screw through the middle to hold the lid on. You want a perfectly symmetrical lid, or one that's asymmetrical enough that you won't get it on mostly-right. I use T-nuts on the back, but you REALLY want to secure the nut so it won't fall off into the wing. Lots of people use lead weights; I use 1/4" plain flat washers from the hardware store. I use a chunk of foam on the screw to put some pressure on the washers -- if you let the weights rattle around in the box, EVERYONE will hear it when you get in the air.

If you haven't yet used the search function, you'll find lots of ideas for adjustable leadouts and weight boxes if you use it. If you don't know how to use it, just search on -- uh -- look in the upper right-hand corner of the forum screen; you'll see a search box. Type in some terms, hit the "search" button, and
curse a blue streak you'll find joy (eventually).

Anticipating a rearward c.g. from using a light engine and building overweight, I built this smallish weight box for my "Peacemaker"and installed it ahead of where I expect the c.g. to be.

I would merely add that tipweight is the most important adjustment feature you can put on the airplane, and the adjustment most likely to be needed on a day-to-day or even hour-to-hour basis. Back in the good old days, using a rolled-up empty glue tube and hoping for the best doomed many airplanes to substandard performance, and airplane-to-airplane variation in the wood and other construction features made the "correct" amount of tipweight a random number - so you couldn't and can't *ever* get it right without being able to adjust it.
Even a 3-gram tipweight change on a 4-lb airplane makes a visible difference, and it can change as the air density changes, so I evaluate it on every flight and every maneuver- do I have too much, too little, or just right?
