I've tried to use the chat room but when I go there -there isn't anyone else.

If there were a signal to indicate that some one was in the chat room on the main forum it could help.

There's a chat room?  ???
I've never even tried it because I figure that when I check the board (noon & late at night) I doubt anyone would be in there.  Usually during the prime time hours when there would be traffic in the chat room I'm out flying or letting dad use the computer.

I was just there.  Seems like a nice thing if there was someone to talk to.  Still need to get the word out and maybe the guys will be more interested in it.

Robert,
A signal on the forum indicating "chat room in use" would be helpful. If not possible,( Bill Little's earlier suggestion of a specific day/days/ and time) posting a specific day/time would be helpful and should promote interest/participation.

You do not have to be an ACE to use the chat room. Robert opened it up to everyone.

It would be nice to maybe have set times. Day and night to gather and just shoot the bull. It can be open topic, or just listen...(watch) the gabber.

I go in there about once a week to see if anyone is there. Mostly on my lunch hour when I do most of my web crawling.

You can open a second instance of Stunthanger then go to chat room.  Kill the second instance of stunt hanger, then make a small window for the dhat room and monitor it while using your origional instance of Stunthanger.   f~  j1

As to my vote - well I have not used it because I cannot. When I put in my name and try to enter the chat I get a blank page that says "transferring data from Stunt Hanger.com" and it hangs up and nothing happens. A try to reload or refresh shows the name I selected already in use. Backing out a page and trying again I get the same message that the name is already in use.

Sparky, I hope you consider keeping the chat room for a while yet, give it some more time to take. I was there for over an hour and a half last night, talking with 3 other guys, was way cool. I enjoy the chat room alot, I think others will too.

I will try to make the evening meetings, but I am usually still sleeping,(I work 3rd shift), and dont have much time in the evening to more than feed the dogs and throw a lunch togather. We'll see.

Maybe a time during the day, so folks on a different time table can take part.

I found out that not everyone lives in CST.

I've tried it 3 times tonight but haven't found anyone else there. Seems like it would be interesting if your not talking to yourself. Never have been in a "chat room" proir to this. Will try again sometime.

I thought that you "talked" to whomever might be on there? Shows how much I know about these things. I thought that I had the time right as I am on the west coast?

Well you can join in if any one is there. But it is best to set a time to meet someone.
