My controls squeak.  Fred Underwood posted something about cheap endoscopes awhile back, so I got me one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0785H3XR7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .  I attached an oiling tube to the camera (picture 1), put some oil in a syringe left over from cat maintenance (picture 2), removed the aft fuselage of my dog, and set out to oil my Igor slider, the only thing in the system I could think of that would squeak.  Picture 3 shows the oiling tube, looking at Circle 1 at JCT Manor.  Picture 4 is the view en route to the controls bay.  Picture 5 is the oiler on target and ready to squirt.

With the tube just above the slider, I gave the syringe plunger a push.  To my surprise, drops of oil fell up: the image was upside down.

It's too late now, but dry-slide lubricant, like graphite or teflon beads in solvent, would have been better.  Oil oxidizes and attracts dirt, which eventually makes sticky gunk.  You are now doomed to forever maintain that mechanism.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

My first Predator with this system rattles when the RH drops below 20%. I have an access door, have oiled it, but it still rattles in those conditions. Unfortunately, it is below 20% during the summer here. Going to Seattle or Muncie never experienced this malady. Go figure? 😁
I just had to learn to ignore it. Never hurt anything.

I’m saving that to lube my new TUTs.

Howard,
I'm sure oiling the control system was a good idea in spite of the necessity to continue doing it!  What I want to know is why were you oiling your Horse pasture?  Horses, in my experience, don't squeak!  At least mine don't!

Of course neither does my airplane! Guess I'm just not high tech enough!

As for the upside down image you need another lens in your do-hickey!  LL~

Not any more, alas.

Another piece of medical equipment employed in this operation is the tubing, which comes from a cannelloni thing that's used to blow oxygen in your nose.
