Title: A worthwhile gesture for the price of a card and a stamp
Post by: John Hammonds on February 20, 2019, 04:26:10 AM
Please delete if this is not appropriate...

I was forwarded this by a friend. He found it via facebook. (I don't do FB).

Presume it's legit. Address is "Assisted Living" accommodation.

Be nice to let him know we will never forget..

I googled the address, it's real so maybe this is real also. Hey if it isn't it's only a stamp.  y1

A nice jesture. I don't see a date on the pic anywhere. Is this known to be current, or has it circulated for a while and this gentleman has since passed on?

I looked up the address on Google Maps and got the phone number and called. Joe Cuba is a resident and he will be 100 on March 2nd. He's not dead and the picture is real. The number is 940 322 0918

The card he is holding says "March 2 . 2019.

Following on from the investigative journalism by Perry, (Thanks). I'll be sending him a card wishing him all the best for the next 100 years :)

Hopefully we don't give him (Or the mailman a heart attack),

This doesn't seem like an un reasonable request for some one who served our country. My card was mailed at noon today. I hope he reaches his goal....Gene
