Title: A Visit to JCT Manor
Post by: Howard Rush on November 20, 2017, 01:46:16 PM
Lots of you have asked where that vortex generator money goes, so I thought I’d show you by giving you a little tour of Jive Combat Team Manor.  Although without the opulence of JCT Tower in Oakland, JCT Manor does have its creature comforts.

We’ll begin with tea in the library, where one can bone up on boundary layer theory or check the OED for the perfect word for a JCT ditty.  Yes, that jacket is pure herringbone.

The field seen over the library garden wall in the picture above is perfect for flying a little free flight or merely practicing your putting.

We do get combat fliers visiting the Manor, so some signage is unfortunately needed:

The solar panel array enables back-to-back off-the-grid flights with 6s 2800 mA-hr. batteries.

No cityscape like that from JCT Tower Hill, but we do have this rather Wagnerian view from the back garden.

After a hard day’s stunt practice we repair to the wine cellar, greeted by a bronze of the Fourth Duke of Earl.

OK, what part of Switzerland is this???  Sure ain't Washington.

au contraire.  It's Mt. Rainier.  If you can see it, it means it's gonna rain.

Pronounced "Mount Ray-near", although the spelling could certainly be for "Mount Rainy-er".  One wonders if George Vancouver was on the ball when he named it.

I thought it was a Castle? what's this Manor nonsense . . . and where for heavens sake are the JCT Coat of Arms or the Jivettes?

Ohh and one more thing . . . are the JCT offering free shipping on all JCT paraphernalia again this year?  . .  It is after all “the season of giving”.

Coat of arms will go on the shields held by the stone lions out front.  I'm working on it.  Jivettes are uppity lately.  We have come to a settlement on past improprieties, and I am looking forward to future improprieties, which I shall of course deny.

Yes to the free shipping.  "Make combat and stunt great again" hats are selling like hotcakes, both with full text and the MCASGA abbreviation, despite the difficulty in pronunciation of the latter.  Think of it as a prenasalization, as in some African languages.

See the National Trust tie?

Night Train Express!!!  A true combat flyers wine. LL~ LL~ LL~

 I thought Ty was joking, until I zoomed in. BUAH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA....!!!  LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

Our latest national media fad combined with the mention of the Jivettes got me to thinking, how can I become a victim of groping?

This thread made my day Howard.  ;D

Shop?  There might be a laser cutter or something in one of the outbuildings. We’re Americans, Preston. We do branding and make deals.

My son, Robby has actually worked on the JCT plantation. He said the servant's quarters are really nice!  #^

The Filipina gardener continually complains about her quarters.

Them coast side of Washington fellers live in Manors and read in the library.

Us Eastern Washington flat-landers live in honky-pads and read in the bathroom.

I must call shenanigans. I feel the the clear skies in you photos are “photoshopped “ I have been in your neck of the woods for 3 days and only caught a glimpse of your Rainy-ear. I did hope to catch a flight of a famed norwestener but my hopes are rapidly diminishing.

Upon my first visit I was greeted at the door by said gardener when I was expecting Lurch, from the Addam's Family.  She said I could find Howard riding his deer, John Deere that is.  Sure enough out in the back forty, there he was in a cloud of dust.  Later the area became Circle One at Stonehedge.
