A Tough Decision to Make
« on: December 23, 2010, 11:15:34 AM »
I hoped never have to do this  :'( but because of a rather important investment that I will be making in 2011, I must liquidate a large portion of my accumulation of hobby memorabilia.

There will be many 1/43rd scale models (all cars) plus many cars in other scales.
At least one tether car.
Some plastic display kits.
Approximately 400 engines will go (Glow, Diesel, spark, CL and RC) along with just about every accessory imaginable, like props, tanks, lines, spark plugs, coils and on and on.
Also, many parts for antique engines.

I'm not putting this out as a tease - I really plan to (MUST) do this early in 2011.
All will probably appear on auction as this is the best way to reach every potential buyer.
What does not sell will probably go to the museum.

Bob Z.

Of course you'll tell us where/when the auction is. (Memo to self - DO NOT BUY ANY MORE ENGINES  n1).

Is the investment hobby related? O'h I can't stand it. If I find out that you are going to buy more Saito 30's, I personally will sabatoge the sale. mw~

Hi, Guys - nice to hear from all of you.

I should clear things up a bit.
I am NOT selling any of my cars.
I am NOT selling my planes.
I am NOT buying any more cars or aircraft. (There is not a new car anywhere that I would give up my 330 GTC for)
I am NOT getting rid of any model aircraft.
I am NOT quitting model aviation.

I am simply disposing of items that I no longer have any use for or will never use.
Procedure will be simple: I will gather a group of engines and have in front of me two boxes labled "KEEP" and "SELL"
When the "SELL" box is full, I will photograph everything and list the items on eBay.
OS, ENYA, Fox, K&B, Super Tiger, McCoy - MANY!
Smaller quantities of brands like Atwood, Anderson, Super Cyclone, OK, OK Cub, Cox, Wen-Mac, Madewell, Hornet, Forester, etc.
Many boxes of engine parts.

I plan to start sorting (There are over 15 large boxes to go through) and listing mid to late January.

My eBay name is "clnut".

Reason: I plan to buy a new home.

As promised, I've started listing.
Here is one eBay number: 110639782679

You can then look at "other items"

I plan to list between 15 and 20 items each week.

Hi, Bill - actually, the new home is farther. It's in Easley, South Carolina, near Greenville.
It's a small home with a BIG hanger on a private airstrip called Williamsport.

Remember, I still have my place in Ponte Vedra Beach and that is where I stay when I visit the Field of Dreams. Only 35 minutes away.
