A Thank You to the Circle Masters
« on: June 06, 2011, 08:22:16 AM »
The Milwaukee Circle Masters had their contest on June 5, 2011.  The weather was great, but the wind was shifting which cause some problems for the pilots.  Here are some pictures of the contest.  Thaks circle Masters for a well run contest!

Here's a few more pics from the stunt circle of the Milwaukee contest.  BTW, I will be posting some flight videos on YouTube in the next couple days.  I'll post the links here.

What are those little cards that are apparently being awarded to the winners? They don't look quite like gift cards, but maybe? Looking for ideas.   H^^ Steve

Would they work for trespassing offenses at TMF? Just wondering. Went to TNA on both Saturday AM and Sunday AM and it was too windy to fly both days.  Arlington seems appealing, pig farm and all.   :-\ Steve

The awards are refrigerator magnets.  They were laser engraved and had a magnet glued on the back.  Very nicely done and sure beats another plaque.  This way I am reminded of the contest and have something to hold up the grandson's art work.  A win-win situation!

Last.......my 2nd round flight with my new MVVS .49 powered "Preußens Gloria" (KA-10 derivative).  Notice the plane getting blown out of the top of the vertical manuevers.  I didn't handle the wind reversal very well.  Oh well, practice.

Thanks for the report and pictures.  The smile on Bob G's. face tells the story of the Eclipse.  Mike should be proud. H^^

Thanks Fred for the videos. Anyone else notice In Crist's flight when the judge in the yellow shirt moved just right it looked like he had a mouseketeer hat on? I saw Mike's Eclipse at our Cheesehead fly-in last year. It is just beautiful.

Crist,

Sorry, I think you may be right.  I remember that I did not get a complete 2nd round flight on one of the videos I posted, so I used the 1st round.  I forgot which one (probably yours).  Age I guess......excuse number 5 on my new T-shirt ;-)
