Title: A solution to withdrawals.
Post by: Andrew Saunders on January 12, 2014, 04:50:01 PM
Lately its either been too cold to fly or too windy. Been having some real bad withdrawals from not being able to fly. Tried going out in the shop and that helps some. But, watching control line videos on youtube has helped big time. Especially watching Windy  Urtnowski videos and the stunt contests posted by many different people. Try it out. Calms down the shake, cold sweats, and the involuntary flying movements of the arm and hand. Dont overdose for you may have side effects such as too much time on the internet watching youtube videos.

Solution is to move to Arizona.  It has been cold in the mornings of late thanks to some of that stupid northern air dumping down here.  However today in spite of being a little cold and overcast early this morning it finally cleared up about 11 o'clock and we had 70degree temp and light breeze and perfect flying weather.   Ahhhh...Love it here in AZ!

Joe Gilbert brought a Flite Streak out to fly after our Sun. meeting at Tulsa Glue Dobbers - The wind was 30+ mph and gusting!!
He blew the fin off it, flying the downwind side and wind-flew for a good 2-3 min straight after the engine quit.
Our steel post that holds our windsock was flexing!
We just shook our heads, it was fun to watch. That little model held together though.

In my case I will  take a pot of coffee and if not available a Coke.   By the way, lately been trying to drink at least one pint cup of plain water, per therapist orders.

He can do it in real life! Actually, so can you, although there might be consequences.
