Well here in New Zealand they take the global warming /climate change position to new levels with the nations largest councils just declaring climate emergency.

I should say little of my views here but always worry, will it be legal to fly my Glow and Diesel engined models next year and I must build more electric models just in case they go that far !
96 octane fuel at $10 a gallon means I rarely drive my Chevrolet C10 now and the huge fuel tax we pay subsidizes electric vehicle charging and parking costs along with public transport.
So I must sell off my nice classic V8 vehicles and buy a cheap to run diesel van just to afford to go to contests.

Had my rant but know where my Father comes from there is an even stronger Greens influence on government (Germany)

Hi Matt
NZ has changed a lot since you left and the Greens/Labour government again brings no real change for our control economy but now Climate change is now judged to be 'real' enemy of the people.

Northern Europe's climate policies have set the way we will follow (endure!) here in NZ so not much point renewing my European passport to escape!
Suppose I should have applied for a Green card or Jumped the Tasman to Australia when I was young and in the future will probably loose my sons there like most kiwi youngsters seem to do, when go overseas and see  .

And here I thought it was just here in the states(what used to be a great American country).  It is all controlled by greed, money in some ones pocket.  How do you think the politicians make all their millions.  The general populace let them get away with it by voting them back into office.   Also our education system is not teaching the youth of today the truth.   Every body in this generation won't tell about how history really is.   I now think about all of our young people way back then who gave there lives to rid the world of socialism only to have the dim wits start talking about bringing it back.  Here in the northern half of this floating space rock never heard how the southern half did their part.  How long before the politicians get World War III started?
