Mini-Wildcat!
My friend picked this up at an auction.
It's around 1/3rd scale, taxis around powered by a lawnmower engine driving a main wheel.
The prop is free-wheeling.
The wings fold true-to-scale.
His grandson fits comfortably in the cockpit!

WOW!! Somebody put alot of work into that. A real keepsake.
ps- Do you fly Gliders? The trailer in the background looks like a transporter.

I see an Vans RV there too!

A sailplane, an RV-7(?) project, and a Porch (sic) 944 Turbo...somebody has too many toys! D>K Steve
PS: My brother has four sailplane trailers (all his) tied down in his yard, three with various Schreder gliders inside. He built two of them (HP-11 and HP-14), and one was built by Mr. Schreder himself and dragged around Europe to compete over there for at least a season. Bro likes the HP-11 best, because of the more upright sitting position, tho it gives up some performance to the HP-14. He was willed the prototype by a friend who died of cancer, who had bought it from Schreder.

It's my friend's "Toy Shop"!
There numerous gliders, muscle cars, mini-choppers, many RC aicraft, a new Prevost motor home, the 944 Turbo Porsche race car, a Super Cub, a Baron, a Kitfox, a Garwood wooden speedboat, a 21 foot Stingray, an assortment of trailers, tons of aircraft parts.
Finally, a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS. For sale! Anyone need to get to the field in style?

You said it had a lawn mower engine but the prop is freewheeling ? so what does the mower engine do ?? I think it look fantastic though.

Hi, Jim - as I mentioned, the little engine drives a main wheel, through a system of shafts and chains.
The engine speed is controlled from the cockpit and transfers power via a centrifugal clutch.
As the aircraft taxis, any slight breeze spins the prop.
The cockpit stick controls the tailwheel.
