Glad you found it as funny as I did, Marcus! When I showed my wife, she said "Animal, from the Muppets!"...to which I said "Exactly what I thought!". Anyway, the guy is Steve Moore, AKA "The Mad Drummer".  A search on YouTube will show a bunch of his stuff...I thought this was the most exemplary...besides, who wouldn't like one of ZZ Top's more mediocre songs?  #^ Steve

I realy enjoyed that drummer.When I lived in Clearwater Fl the home of many retired rock and roll greats I saw several drummers do that type of act. I asked one did he ever drop the drum stick.His answer was YES lot of times. He had two extra drum sticks hidden so he could pick one out so fast you did not see it. He even had three sticks going at one point.
