I would give several key parts of my anatomy for a similar picture with my Dad. He passed away in 1965 when I was ten. I have an older brother that stepped up and filled in for him when I needed it most and for that I am very grateful. But I have very few memories of my Dad this far down the line now.

I remember meeting your Dad at the NATS.   Thought I had a picture some where.  Never got a picture of my Dad and me with the planes.  Have some of him on the farm.   I turned 21 the year he passed away.

Same here, Dan. Mine passed in '77. I was 17 then. Mine got me started in aviation, both modeling and flying when I was about 6. Built models and sandbagged for him and his buddy who owned a Citabria. For that I'll always be grateful.
Best Regards,
Bill
