Hi Guys,
Today the Metrolina Control Line Society conducted a stunt clinic at the Huntersville field.
Last fall I judged beginner/intermermediate and I observed a lot of guys struggling with out of trim airplanes.
The problem is these guys didn't even know that their airplane was wrong.
So,I suggested that we hold clinics this year. The objective of todays clinic was twofold.
1. To have advanced/expert flyers spotting and flying beginner/intermediate guys airplanes and make changes to to improve the trim of these planes. 2. let clinic participants fly "sorted out" airplanes to give them some perspective on how a trimmed airplane flys.
Problems with unlevel wings and etc were corrected on planes that their owners didn't even realize they had a problem with.
William Davis,and Ed Ruane and I helped get planes sorted out and I want to give a special thanks to Kent Tysor who was not feeling well and still showed up anyway to help the guys with their planes.
We had a great turnout and everyone I talked with seemed satisfied that we had a productive day.
The goal was for guys to spend less time fighting their airplane and more time learning the pattern and I hope that we all took a step in the right direction. Thanks to everyone.

We had a great time at the field today, Thanks to everyone that helped run the Stunt Clinic . Perfect weather and alot of flights . Seemed like we were having a contest with all three circles going most of the day . Below is a group picture after a long day at the field .
Special note H A "Humpy "Wheeler of NASCAR was out flying his R/C plane and got in the picture R/H side of group photo. Nice guy to hang out with .

I would like nothing more than to attend a stunt clinic. I really need help. Let me know when the next one is.

We are plannning another , we will get in touch with you when we have a schedule . Don't forget about our Huntersville Contest May 2 and 3 , We usaully have a informal Judging Clinic ansd Stunt Clinic on Friday before the contest. Not as good as we did this past weekend , but really helpful

We had a stunt clinic years ago in Topeka Kansas with Big Art giving advice. He told me he wished he could take my son home with him as he had him doing most of the pattern before the two days was up. Glad you guys had good results. Having fun, DOC Holliday
