Title: A new respect for BOM.
Post by: Paul Taylor on July 30, 2011, 10:20:21 PM
I don't want this to turn in to a BOM beat the dead horse.

I have never sanded out a plane before and I must say my shoulder is real sore from sanding the first few layers of clear.

This is a lot of hard work, but I am having fun! <=

Where is that icy hot....

It is a joy to work with wood, unlike other materials it is alive.  I cut and sand wood parts 7 days a week and I enjoy every minute of it.

Paul,
Looking good. As far as the shoulder goes, the better the plane looks the less you notice the soreness or maybe it's the icy hot.

That looks great Paul.  You are correct about the level of satisfaction you will achieve once finished and flying.

Looking great.  As the saying goes the best finish starts with a great base.   H^^

I should take my time like you  - looks good so far - great stuff - now just use my killer paint scheme and you'll have a winner!

Wynn. Your colors have been ordered.  I printed it out and it is hanging over my work table.
