Title: A look at Gordan Delaneys Classic design, Hienz 57, as built by Ray Firkins
Post by: John Miller on October 29, 2008, 02:33:58 PM
Ray Firkins showed up at Clovis this past weekend with his new Hienz 57. It's a classic design by Gordan Delaney from 1963.

Ray had just finished the plane a few days before, and had only 4 flights on it by his arrival at Clovis. By the time he was ready to fly it, not in Classic, but Expert, he was starting to get it sorted out. I saw his flights improving each time it flew.

Notice the creative graphics. Neat huh?

Ray built an absolutely GORGEOUS airplane guys.

You really had to see this one in person.

Saw Gordon himself take it for a spin.

Flew nice.

Nice work Ray
