Almost as corny as John Wayne in "Jet Pilot". Funny stuff
The attached video was a great piece of editing, working with 1950-vintage 8 & 16 mm black & white movies.
In defense of "Jet Pilot", produced by the late-great Howard Hughes, who did the original biplane epic after The Great War
(later renamed WWI). Howard wanted to make a jet fighter movie and he made a jet fighter movie. Unfortunately, by the time it was done, Howard realized it wqs outdated and in accurate.
But, post mortum, the heirs of RKO realized that nothing containing John Wayne, Janet Leigh, and the F-86 Sabre could ever be kept off the screen.
