I know some of you are on facebook and others hate it but every once in a while I pick up something worthwhile off of a forum post. This one came off of a group page called "Control Line Enthusiast"
The thread was entitled "Why Control Line over RC"
Here is the quote:
Flying model planes is like having sex. RC is like cyber sex while Control line is the "real deal" It's all about the feel.
Best explanation or comparison I have ever heard. LOL... %^@ %^@ %^@
Ya'll have a good day now.

Interesting comparison. I'd have to agree.

Control line is like marriage sex - predictable and boring - same pattern over and over.... tied to them
RC is more like being single - different models on different days - some fast, some slow..... hot liners, slow pokes, a few fixed wing and some rotors......
RC for me!!!! haha

Either way, doing it by yourself isn't as good...

Just a side note:
Control Line, Ukie and Free Flight are always spelled with upper-case letters while r/c is never spelled with upper-case letters.

I enjoy both C/L and sex (haven't tried 'em at the same time) and I'll hafta disagree, Mike, they're nothing alike - unless I've been doing one of 'em all wrong.
But Wynn could be right that r/c is like sex - explains why an otherwise reasonable person would get addicted to it.

As an avid R/C flyer and competitor since 1970 I can say that without a doubt there is just as much "feel" flying an R/C model as there is flying a control line stunter.....the feel is a bit different but there for sure. You experience the lack of feel the very moment you lose the magical link between you and your R/C ship and start screaming "I AIN'T GOT IT ,I AIN"T GOT IT!!!!!!!.....PhillySkip

Certainly you can do them in groups.

If marraige sex is predictable and boring for you, then you don't know what you're doing.
