Wow Robert, I was heavy into slot cars back in the late fifties until the middle sixties and I don't ever recall seeing one of those!

Strombecker must have had a standard track length (i.e., Strombecker product) for that to work at all. I had one slot car, and it was the Cox GT40, which got stretched out and wider track (front, mostly) and fitted with one of the full fendered Mercedes F1 (?) bodies from the late '40's or early '50's. Must have been a huge car, because mine was still 1/32 scale. D>K Steve
