Jim

Model Aviation, sometime in the '80s.  It was an adaptation of the upright first version T-Bird, and also included the kit version.  Outstanding plans drawn by Steve Buso.  They are on the AMA website.

Haven't there been more like two or three construction articles for T-Bird related upgrades that Tom has published?  One was for an enlarged 60-sized version, and another for a 46-sized, I thought (and you could say that the Palmer Veco "II" version with 600 squares was really a "40-size" T-Bird already, considering the kit wood used, and potential finished weight in the low 50-ounces range, right?)  The thing that sticks in my head from the version of the same basic size as the originals was Dixon's assertion that the wingtip construction method he used was simpler, and easier to build.

Thanks guys,

I knew you'd come thru for me.  I don't remember which version is in M.A., but I'll take a look at it.

I think I want to add the Tbird to my to-do list, just don't know which version yet.  Sorta leaning towards the larger not Classic legal version, but who knows.

So many pretty planes-----so little time!!!

Cheers,
Jim
