Tom Niebuhr designed this and asked for some one to build it and fly it. I've been lax on the flying. First few sessions was dirt in fuel tank problems in which tank is now clean. It is a little sensitive on controls or I should say it keeps you on your toes. This past month had it out to try trimming it a bit. Have moved the elevator push rod to the furthest hole on the horn. Helped a lot but still you had to be alert and on your toes. So in my brilliant think I disconnected the push rod between the flaps. Only have bottom flap working. Made what some call a wind brake for top flap so it stays put. Thought yesterday would be great for flights as there was a little breeze. As soon as I got up the wind died. Could not tell where there was any if there was. Almost had it hanging but the needle was just a tad lean. Using 10-4 Top Flite wood prop. Second flight almost didn't get off the ground as I richened the Fox a little. Think I need a good Kansas breeze to get it to hang. Any way now I have some control and it will flip around on inside and outside loops if that what you would call them. Need more time on this one as well as some wind. Thanks to Tom for this design as it looks like an airplane that with the right wind will hang. Happy with this one also.
By the way if Larry sees this but this plane will not see the use of the expo handle. When I can get the use of my vehicle I have been out flying planes and playing. Also need to ignore the trees in my neighborhood as at Tribles flying circle the winds are pretty straight when there is wind.
