A few shots of the Hazelton Contest
« on: July 03, 2017, 12:13:13 PM »
I made it one Sunday for the Intermediate Stunt contest. First time I've been there, sure was a beautiful view! The wind kept getting worse as the day went on.  Sure did give me a few close calls on my first flight. I flew a bit high on my second flight. I got to fly my first Intermediate contest. I thought I ran into a lot of problems preparing for beginner. Intermediate adds a bunch more to deal with. But everything went well for me.  Bernard and Alan did a great job putting it together,  Thanks guys I had a blast!

It was a fun contest and Bernie and Al did a great job running it.  Good food too!

Here are more pictures - the Advanced line-up and the judges (Al and Bernie) hard at work on the Expert circle.

How's this for a scenic view?

And Expert's scoreboard.

Boy I pity the advanced flyers for having to fly in the worst winds of the day!

There is another DOC out there.  Here in Kansas when CB radios were the rage I was Shawnee DOC Holliday.   You guys have a beautiful field there in PA country.  Also that has to be Danny Boy flying sitting down.  He's a good example of flying any thing and every thing for fun plus being competitive.  Looks like an awesome spot for flying with some great scenery. A whole bunch of really great looking models too, thanks for all the pics!
